Construction
Modules incorporate a frame fabricated from box section steel members and male/female interlocking upright sections in anodised aluminium, colour
(natural or other) with double labyrinth seals in rubber. Vertical contact between modules is guaranteed by magnetic strips. Contact with floor and overhead track is ensured by telescoping cross rails fitted with rubber seals. Top and bottom rails are allowed 25+25 mm movement and cranked into operating position with 70 kg pressure, so that the ceiling is relieved partly of the weight. Movement of the top and bottom seals is produced by a screw driven parallelogram linkage operated with a removable handle inserted into a socket on one upright of the module. In the case of the telescopic module, the handle is inserted into a socket on the face. The telescopic module also incorporates a lateral clamping mechanism with a stroke of 120 mm. The pressure rods of the mechanism are spring-loaded to compensate for any deflection in the structure. Tracks are fitted to the ceiling only:
- Aluminium 98x82 mm. Intersections fitted with rolling transfer balls in steel to ensure ultra smooth gliding action.
- Galvanised steel 90x66 mm. Gauge 4 mm.
The single module is suspended from the tracks by one or two hangers with 4 ball bearings, minimum diameter 40 mm. A built-in alignment device ensures the hanger glides centrally in the track. Single modules are adjustable in height without any need for alterations either to the ceiling or to the module itself. The system of parking the modules is illustrated in the accompanying drawing.
Cladding panels

Doors with surround panel are the same thickness as the modules, and have double stops with double seals.
The surround panel has telescoping seals at the bottom on either side of the door. The surround is locked by inserting the handle
at a single point on one upright of the module. The door is retained automatically
in the surround panel when the module hangs free (released). The bottom seal of the panel is equipped with a
pin that locates automatically in a socket afforded by the floor to ensure faultless positioning of the module.
